It was slow moving at first and trying to get things in order and how I would like to set up the website. At first since Dreamweaver was new to me it was tricky on how to get everything together. I was able to figure it out and get the website look decent. I would have like to added some other things but I didn’t have enough time. The more I used Dreamweaver the easier it is getting. My website is very simple and I would like to be able advance it once I look how to do certain things. Also I might change out my drawing section picture and maybe scan them and put them on the website. I haven’t made up my mind about that yet.

I have three section in my portfolio section photography, graphic design, and drawing. In the photography section I put all my raw photos. Graphic design I put mostly everything that I have done for DC and some of my edited photos. My drawing sections is just one of those sections I wanted to show off that I could draw if I have to and also I liked drawing too. My drawings aren’t the best I am not an artist with a pencil but I just want to show my work.

There is many things I would love to add to my website that we haven’t learn in my class. I really would like to put a drop down menu in each of my portfolio section to be more organized and maybe able to add more pictures. Right now it all my picture together on one page and it looks neat and nice but I would like them in each of their own sections. In the Contact section I will like to add some box and people can fill out and reach out to me for photography or make them something for a special event. When they click on a photo or one of my design I will like to be able to make it open bigger so people can look close at the photos or the designs.

Certain sections took me longer than others. Chapter 3 was just making a basic website from the information that was giving to us. Some of the things went smoothy until the end. Chapter 4 you were working with images and making box. It was a lot of information that you had to work with. It took longer than Chapter 3. Dreamweaver is also helps you code so if you mess up it would help you fix the problem fast and give you hints about what you did wrong.

In the beginning of spring break was slow. Near the middle of the break and the end it started to pick up. On Saturday, I had my internship in the morning for Family Pictures in North Myrtle Beach. Then that day I went to Market Common for a photoshoot for these two dancers. Then Monday, I went back to Market Common to do another photoshoot with my friend with the last three smoke bombs I had. Then that Wednesday, I hung out with a group of my friends and went to the movies. Then Friday, my mom and I went to the mall to get some clothes and new shoes. After that, we went to dinner with a group of friends. I went to my friend house and spend the night at her house. I was very excited to be able to spend the night with her. Then the rest of the weekend was fun.

I am kind of excited to make a website. I know it is going to be difficult but I am excited to do it. Most of my website would be photography. I want my website to be a modern looking. My theme is going to be black, white, and light blue. I want the fonts to be bold and be able to make a statement. I also going to have a section on my website that is all the projects that I did and going to do in my DC class. Since I am starting an Internship with a photography I would have a section of that in my website of all the pictures that I am taking and editing.

I am very happy that we were able to do CodeAcademy.com fist before we did Dreamweaver. Since we have only gotten through the first two chapters I have been learning how to work everything on the program but there are many things I already knew how to do. I have been thinking about my website that we are going to make I really want my websites to be different. I want on the homepage to have this one sections that you can watch all the different photography and graphic designs things I have done. It’s like a little video but it keeps moving as a long as you are still on the homepage.

My B&C Art Show Entry was a photography piece. I went to Market Common and near the park area there is this big hill and I used my crystal ball set it down on top of the hill facing the soccer field and the trees near by. I took the picture through the crystal ball and if reflected everything that was able to be seen in the ball. In my photography I want to be more artsy than just taking portraits of people.

Earth Day at the Bay poster was a lot of fun to make. I made a couple different posters and I hate that I have to choose one. For the first one I used one of my own photo and made it look like a earth. I put the words going around the picture. The background was a gradient of blue and green. I added leaves in the background too. The second poster that I am making is that the background is blue and a drawing of the earth. On top of the earth there would be a living tree and on the bottom of the earth would be a dead looking tree. In the background I want to add different sea animals. The text would be still going around the world. I am still trying to decide which one I want to do.

Third quarter hasn’t been as hard as I thought it would be. 1st block in my English III class and I am doing better than in the beginning of the semester. English isn’t my best subject. 2nd block in DC and I am doing very well in the class. 3rd block is my Marine Science Honor. This is my first Honor class that I have ever taken. I am doing well but not the best. I am trying to bring up my grade but I am not used the Honor class. I was very nervous and still is about this class. The teacher helps us try to bring our grade up and helps us do well in the class. 4th Block is Algebra II and I am doing very descent in the class. Mr. Scott knows how to help us and knows how to teach math. Math is my favorite subject.

The Hope Logos are very fun to make. I am happy that I can be part of something like this. This subject is very important to me. I know many people that have bad drug abuse and I want to help people that have this problem. My first logo was simple but I liked how simple it was to represent how it is simple to help someone. The second one that I made was a picture I took a long time ago and I made a circle and clip mask it together. The heart represent that there is hope for everyone to be save and not have to go through this alone. One the first logo I used a gold, dark blue, and light people for the logo and for the font I use RoundHand Free. For my second logo I used white and black and for the font I used Moon Flower Bold. The tagline I used was Help Our People Everywhere.

We really haven’t started on Dreamweaver yet. I am excited to start it and dive right into coding.

I took the SAT test this month. I don’t like testing at all and especially time test. I like to take my time on test but I can’t really do that. The English part seem like it went well and the math part was hard. Half of the math that was on it was Algebra II and I am just starting to learn that. So I am planning on taking the test couple more times so I can get the best score.

Yes, it is getting closer to the time where I have to apply to colleges or even started touring some colleges. I have to in mind that I would love to get in. I would love to go to SCAD or even Winthrop. They aren’t to far from my family but also be able to be on my own. I know I want to go to a four year college and major into graphic design and be able to learn more about the motion graphic designs. I would also love to study more photography in college too.

At first I believe that Codeacademy.com would be very hard since I had no idea what to do for coding. At first I was kind of confused but at the end of the end of the first section that we were working on I was getting the hang of it. I was able to get through the sections pretty fast and able to understand what I was doing at the same time. I really like HTML and CSS. I think I can do many great things learning the basic and I want to learn more and advance my skills.

I am going to do photography for B & C Art Show. I know this one is really hard to get into and I want to think outside the box for this Art Show. So I have some pictures that I can edit and I have another idea that I can do and work on this weekend or maybe next week if I am able to get everything I need. I might use one of the crystal ball picture that I have or I might mix art and photography with paint again.

I am very excited to create my own logo for my own website. I have been thinking of ideas what I want my logo to represent and how it can represent what I do. I have this one idea that I think it really cool but I think it might be complicated a little. But I am always up for a challenged. Since I’ve been using Illustrator more often I might be able to fast and better than I think.

I am also excited to make my own website and be able to get people to see what I can and what I am getting better at. I might be able to use this website to get some small jobs on the side. I am excited to see all the different things I can do and all the different ways I can make the website works. If I am able to understand how to make my own website to look decent. I might able to help my mom with the website design for our family business.

One of my favorite Kinetic Typography Video was Jakes. There were so many different things that he put into his projects that many other people didn’t. A lot of the lyrics had different animations that I didn’t know that After Effects can do. One of my favorite parts of his project is the part when there wasn’t any lyrics on the screen but he have a bunch of dots that were moving up and down the screen to the beat of the song. I also enjoyed the song he did. At the end of the one minutes that he did I wanted to see more. When he is able to finished the whole song I would really like to see the rest of it. 

I haven’t really picked a picture for art fields show yet. Tomorrow I am doing a photoshoot with a group of my friends and we are going to go around a take different pictures. I have an idea that I would like to paint people face of and animal. You heard people talking about “My spirit animal is..” or “If my personality fits an animal it would be…” I would like something like that to enter into Art Fields. Another idea that I came up with is cool dance pictures. I have a couple of friends that are dancers and I could get really cool photos of them doing dances moves. There are many different idea that I have but I have to be able to see them to know what I want to do and was ideas work or not. 

We haven’t started in codeacademy.com yet because they haven’t been able to connect to the wifi here are school. We been working on our pieces for the art shows that are coming up that we need to submit soon.

I don’t really have exciting plans for Valentine’s Day. My boyfriend and I are probably going to celebrate Valentine’s Day and our one year on the same day this Sunday because we are both busy over the week. Since Valentine’s Day is on Wednesday I have dance that night and Cameron has lacrosse practice that night we wouldn’t be able to see each other anyway. But, we are trying to plan something special for Sunday when he gets off of work. We haven’t made a plan yet for Sunday but we are going be looking up ideas that would be fun for the both of us. 

The Kinetic Typography Project had it ups and downs. I really enjoyed doing the project and I love working in after effects. I still struggled on some of the different movement that I put in my video. I kind of like how the video turn out but I feel like it could be better than it looks at the end.  I wanted to do more than a minute but it took me longer to do so I could only do the first minute.  

I have many idea that I can do. The one art show I am doing a something about having a spirit animal or having a animal inside of us. I was going to paint people faces of an animal. I was going to use this for both art show but I was thinking of doing something more nature for the other one. I am working on doing a photoshoot with some of my friends so I can get different pictures.

This second semester is going to be harder than I thought. For my first block I have English III with Mrs. Condrey and I love her a lot. She is amazing teacher and she is always trying to help us to do our best in her class. My second block is my major and so far we been doing this Kinetic Typography Project. That project was so much fun to do. My third block is Marine Science and so far I am liking the class a lot. That class is the biggest class I have. My fourth block is Math with Mr. Scott and I always loved math and having him as my teacher works out. I am so happy with all my class but with all these main class it is very important for me to do good and keep my grades up. I got sick in the first couple of days of the semester and I had to catch up on my work but I was able to do it. I hate when I get sick because I hate missing school work and falling behind. 

I am very satisfy by the first semester of my junior year of high school. Since it was my first time going back to actually school was pretty good. The class was pretty easy but getting back on a schedule was pretty difficult. I am happy that I am able to get back to a schedule and have people that share a lot of love in my major.

I pick Perfect by Ed Sheeran. I am in love with Ed Sheeran because he has such a lovely personality and doesn’t fall in drama. Also this song is so beautiful and he wrote the song for his fiance. I am that kind of girl that hears a really good love song and falls in love with it and listen to it on replay. I was thinking that it was a good song to do because it was slow and I could do a lot more with the song. 

After Effect is overwhelming at time because there are many effect, background, text, and motions that this program can do. I am so happy that I am able to be working in After Effects because I know what I want to do as a motion graphic will have to use this program. I am happy that I am able to figure out that I can teach myself this program. I am excited to see what else I can do in this program in the future. I am happy the video is coming out so far. 

When I first heard about the project I started to research for a song. When I found a song I started to work on it. At first it took my a long time to figure out everything in the beginning. I was able to get to one minute of the song done with the lyrics by now I have to add the small details. There is a lot to do. Last week getting a stomach virus and this weekend getting a flu like sickness set me back a lot.  It was hard to work on my project because it made my head hurt more. 

This week in photoshop we made a poster for a rock band concert that was going on in the town. There were so many steps that were put in this poster. We added an outer glow to the letter and we also took the fill out of the lettering. We added different filters to the pictures. Everyone has their own different looking poster.  We also put the poster in a view that a customer can look at.

I’m really into photography blogs because I love looking at different people look on photography. One of my favorite blogs from a photographer is Ken Kaminesky blogs. A lot of his blogs are about him traveling and all the opportunities he is able to get from his photography. He has also met many people throughout his travels. He also talks about how photography can change over time. Also another thing is how your pieces of photographic changes throughout the social media and what is popular at the time.

My favorite photographer is Brandon Woelfel. His work is amazing and very modern. He is able to make the simplest picture to this amazing art work. All of his pictures are so different from each picture he is takes. I also like that he is very diverse with his work. You always have those photographier that is only day night or only night time. He’s work is both and the pictures either way still comes out as the same and as good. Also he doesn’t only do wedding or one person pictures. He does couple, dancers, a group of people, objects, and just one person. Also in his pictures he uses smoke bombs, paint, lights, and so much more.

My first rough draft was pretty easy to do and a lot of fun to make. When I saw the outcome of the first rough draft I fell in love with it. Even though it’s really babyish it still look cute. The second was a little harder to make because it was more of drawing and more tedious work. The name is my favorite because it is February in French. The harder part were the drawings. The other parts of the candy wrapper I copy from the first candy wrapper. I really like making them.  

This week of photoshop was easier than other weeks. I kind of knew all of all of the things that we learned this week. The one thing I really liked that was mention the other day was Adobe Bridge. I knew it was something that was connected to Photoshop but I like how it organized all your work. I might be able to use it more to import photos to photoshop. Also through Bridge I can see information about the photos I took.

I went on the first night time photoshoot the other day. I uploaded some of the pictures that I liked the best. I edit some photos to make them look better and the lighting wasn’t the greatest on the photos I took. So I try my best to fix that problem. One of the pictures that I liked I was trying to do something different with the picture than just editing. I was working on that most of the time on Wednesday.

I am excited to do this candy wrapper. I know I should know by now who I should be doing the candy wrapper for and for what. I can’t decided over my sister or Cameron. My sister means a lot to me and I am very close to her so I thought it would be cool to make it for her. The thing is I don’t know what occasion I would give it to her for. Cameron also means a lot to me too. I would make it for our one year. I still have to decided who I am doing it for and for what.

I pretty sure I know what I want to do. I want to be a motion graphic designer and I that is really hard to become one than just a regular graphic designer. I know that my photograph would help me get there. I started to watch this tv show that I fell in love called the Good Doctor. During each episode there is some kind of motion graphic. I haven’t really notice until now of how much it is used it tv show like this one and how it can make the tv show more interesting for people to watch and understand what is going on in the episode.
